In many ways the shop is the heart of the operation. We build and repair much of our equipment, try out new projects  and generally make stuff. Our first homeschool classes were woodworking.  We offer a variety of classes both skill and project based. Starting with simple furniture and birdhouses at 6 years old through culinary woodworking, musical instruments, wood turning boatbuilding and furniture making. Most classes are taught in the home shop but we also utilize the local community college and high school shops. The shop includes a full array of power and hand tools. Classes are offered to youth and adults mostly in the winter months. We also provide workshops to scout groups, families and accept private commissions as time allows.

The shop includes a mix of modern and traditional woodworking tools acquired over a 30+ year span. It located in our heated and insulated barn and overlooks the gardens and surrounding farm land.
