Loonling Learning has been providing hands-on classes to Southwest Michigan students for over 10 years. We started with woodworking sessions while Tom was still a full-time shop teacher in the public school system. Afternoon and evening classes were held in the school shop and at our home workshop. The offerings grew to include a local nature class and a summer expedition program. In 2016 Colleen and Tom both left their jobs to focus solely on Loonling Learning. We now offer 8-10 classes each semester. We work with homeschool parent partnerships, private and public schools, as well as families who wish to private pay. Parents are invited and welcome to participate. In classes for younger children, an adult presence may be required.
